need some advice

Hello. I would appreicate any help or advice that anyone can give me. My husband and I are looking into buying a piece of property at a great price. We were going to put a double wide mobile home on the land, with hopes of eventually stick building a home. But now we are having a lot of doubts as to putting up a mobile home. Basically, we don't want to make a bad investment. We were also considering putting up a modular home, but my husband is very hesitant to do that. We don't have the finances to stick build right now. Don't really know what to do--any help is greatly appreicated.

1. Are you planning on buying vacant land and setting home later?
2. How are you going to finance this purchase? e.g. cash, mortgage, etc?
3. What are your issues with Modular Homes?
