Fairmont Homes out of IN?

Post by Sandy » Thu May 29, 2003 9:52 pm

My fiance and I are seriously looking at two manufacturers for our new home. I've already posted on here about Colony built homes by Commodore, and now I'm wondering about Fairmont Homes of IN. Has anyone heard good or bad things about this manufacturer. Better yet, does anyone have or had one and would like to share their experience? I've seen some postings on here, but it's been sporadic. At least were pretty set on the 2 manufacturers down from a half a dozen. Thanks for your help!

I've sold both, In my opinion.....LOL I'd go with a Commadore anyday over a Fairmont.. My Girlfriend owned one in my Com. and I didn't like it at all, I found hers, which was a Fairmont/Friendship very low end. She did have all the bells and whistles, Cosmetically speaking. But, after spending time in her home many things came to appear, cheap! I know we aren't all talking about 500K stick builts here, but, some of the manufacturers are all about Glam, and too little on Quality, in my opinion...

My two cents!

I fully agree with Sheila, Fairmont / Friendship is very cheaply constructed.

Where does the build and satisfaction level compare on a Commadore home as to another brand name in the same price range.
Seems they are construced quite well and offer a full line of price ranges.
thanks for any info.
