4 or 3-1/2 Ton A/C?

I have ordered an Indies 32x90 with optional 6" sidewall insulation. I was told I could have a 4 or 3-1/2 ton a/c installed. Which one would be better? I am in Louisiana.

Hey Todd I'm in Louisiana too...Lake Charles area. I have a 28x64 home and have a 4 ton unit that works quite well. It cycles like it should and keeps the house very comfortable. And it seems to be very energy efficient too. We have lived in our home almost 7 years and the highest electricity bill we've ever had during the summer was $134.00.

I'm not an expert by any means but I would think that with the extra insulation in a 6" sidewall the 4 ton unit would work just fine for you.

Best of luck with your new home!

I've been trying to find out what an Indies house is. Do they have a website?

I wanted to answer the question about Indies House. They do, it is www.indieshouse.net. There are photos of their newest models.
