Adding a small "granny flat" modular home on our property

Am thinking about adding a small modular home toward the back of our property. We have almost 5 acres with our existing retirement home, a pole barn, and a shed. We live in Whatcom County, WA and our property is "county" vs. "city". Who could I contact to see what would be involved to determine what it would cost.

First you should talk to the local zoning and building department in your county...Many areas would NOT allow 2 dwelling units on 1 property..Hopefully yours would..

For cost you should visit local manufactured home dealers and modular home builders...They will know about local rules and code requirement..they will be familiar with local costs of land preparation....Quality homes will cost from $50 to $ 90 per square foot..Size will be your choice
