MH purchase

Last year I purchased a MH - the realator listing advertised a newer roof and assured me that there would be no problems with roof - however after a winter and rain season there are two problem areas which were looked at by 3 repair companys we are telling me that there are as many as 2 roof's and several repairs in the trouble areas! Now it is suggested to me that a complete tar off is neccessary to solve leaking - excessive damage to underlying roof has never been resolved just more roofing tiles placed over top of oneanother!! Not to mention the fact that the insulation in ceiling was never replaced so the problem keeps getting bigger!! At the closing of sale previous owner signed a disclosure statement saying any problems were disclosed!! However, she and the realator played the roof off as Newer and no problems! She also cleverly hide with boxes an area where the floor was rotted due to a window air conditioner! What are my courses of action at this time?

Fix the roof before the problem puts your whole investment at risk.....

You may have a claim against the owner...My guess is the real estate "pro" has protected himself quite well with all kinds of written disclaimers of condition that you would have signed.......Take this as a lesson....to remember to rely on professional for advice that you pay for...you should have had a professional home inspector see this home..they would have found these problems and advised you..then you would have known what you were buying....

You might now want to invest in legal advice about your chances of collecting from the seller of the home...You will get better legal advice from them than here....

You are correct the real estate "pro" states "newer roof" on it's listings for all mobile homes! However, verbally states new roof! We had an appraisal - not a home inspection! I do plan on following up with a lawyer! A very expensive lesson has been learned! Thanks
