Mobile Home on a Foundation?

I bought my mobile home 5 years ago and at the time it was placed on the existing concrete pad of an older mobile which was towed away to the mobile home graveyard (wherever that is). I had my new home hooked up to the existing electric & phone lines, well and septic system. At the time, I debated on moving the location of the new home (about 300-400 feet back) further off the road and since the property grades up there would be a beautiful view from that location. Since it would have cost a great deal more to do that than to hook up to the existing pad & utilities, I decided against it. Now, 5 years later I still wondering if I could move the home to the back of my property & enjoy the view. Could a moblie home be placed on a foundation, instead of a slab, where I would have easy access to pipes and everything else under the home? Could the existing well pump water to that location or will I need another well drilled. I assume the septic will have to be replaced. I know these seem like crazy questions, but who else could I ask but the expert.

You can certainly move the home, but will have to check with the local building officials in your area, as to whether or not the septic lines could be extended, or the water line from the well extended, or if other zoning conditions would be met or necessary.

You can move a home, check set backs. Also look into a lift station to help your septic with the additional distance. They may have an inline pump for your well also.
