state inspection

Post by Randy » Tue Nov 09, 2004 2:36 pm

The state inspector came today and rechecked our home . They found the manufacturer not in compliance . They have already been given 40 days plus a 40 day extension and went over the 80 days . So now they have re checked the work and will be told to fix it again. How long will they give them and will they get a fine ? And what can I do about all the trouble they are giving us . I dont think they will ever get it repaired correctly .

Might be time to get estimates of proper repairs from independent repair companies...Read all that you have signed and get ready for legal action..even in arbitration..These government inspections will make this a slam dunk case..

Even though it is rare..HUD can order the plant to repurchase the home from you for violations of the HUD code that are serious..

You need to read this section of the HUD code...

It might be a help..

It is a special URL that is the shorter version of a 155 character long government URL..

Highlight (select)...right click and copy...open a browser window...right click and paste into address bar..It will take you directly to the HUD site..

Try again..
