Single Wide financing

My brother-in-law and I have been looking at a place in Heber, Az. to purchase together as a second home, a place to get in the cooler weather on the weekends. It is a great place, newly remodeled on an acre of land. We both have outstanding credit, but our bubble was popped yesterday when we found out it is almost, if not impossible to finance a 1979 single-wide mobile. So I am looking around on the internet to see if this is really true. I understand that if you do find a lender, the interest rates are usually very high. Any other avenues? Thanks for any answers or help I can get from you in advance.
