Registry of Mobile Home by VIN#
Registry of Mobile Home by VIN#
I'm looking for a registry/directory of mobile homes sold, or transferred with information including the seller or buyer and the VIN#. We have documentation with incorrect VIN# and are unable to locate or obtain corrected Certificates of Title without the exact VIN#. Can I obtain this information from the manufacturer? I know there is a listing for cars with their complete history, what about mobile/manufactured homes??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Yes, the manufacturer can provide the VIN Number. I know of no directory that lists them.

There is no national directory...a few state have something like you are looking for..the best being TX...
If you do not know the vin#..how do you know you have an incorrect number.???.
The number will be stamped on the front cross member of the frame..also will be on the data plate mounted on an interior wall of cabinet back...Your title office can most often do title searchs by name..and supply details of all titles for a specific individual..if you know who had the home before you...Also often local tax authorities have the seriel number on the tax records..
I am not sure how the plant could look up the number without the number...I think they store most info by seriel number...They might be able to give you the correct format for the number..which will help you when you find numbers at other sources..
