Perm Found. Replacment cost ...

We are looking at purchasing a new triple wide, (40x60). I have an existing double wide (24x60) on a prem found. When they come out to do the site prep, should they be able to use the existing perm found. and just add-on to what is there to make up for the new third section ? The existing Perm. Found. was installed probably 10-12 years ago. Since all utilities are there already, shouldn't the cost be far less than a NEW site prep ? Is there a general formula for figuring total cost ? "X" $$ per lin. ft ???

Thanx ..

If its just a slab with no footers under the load points you could just add to it.In MH when a slab is used that type is usually used.As far as cost goes home setup would be the same but you should save on all other material costs.Contractor prices vary in differnt areas so there is no real formula to figure costs.

It's not on a slab, just the concrete squares, and sttel framing between them .... I would be adding an additional section of trailer, and the new unit will have the steel floor framing .... I wonder if the perm foundation I have works with that ??

In that case probably not.The footers that are already there will more thne likely not be in the right place for the new home.
