Brands and Loans

Post by Dave » Tue May 04, 2004 9:10 pm

I've been trying to get info on mobile homes and loans but haven't gotten very far. First off, what brands are good and which ones to avoid? When I went to the dealers, of course they all said their's was the best, no suprise. As for credit, it flat out sucks. My Experian has improved to 645, was a lot worse. I have no outstanding debts for almost a year. However, I was unemployed for a year, been working now for about a month. From what I've seen in the threads, I won't qualify for a FHA. Is there any hope? Also, any rough idea what insurance would run on maybe a newer 16x80 in a park? I've also noticed a lot of MBs for sale by owner, but I can't find any financers. I was told of Consecos (sp?) , but they are out of business. I have applyied at various places for loans, including from here, and never got a response. Any suggestions?

Depends on what you mean about your credit...the score is high enough to qualify...but the score is only the beginning of the process..individual details of your credit still make a difference..

Also...credit decisions can be determined by increasing your downpayment...There is a point where some will finance almost anyone..usually about 40% down..

For used singles..Greentree (used to be Conseco)...Vanderbilt...21st Century...all have refinance programs for their repossessed inventory..With a little (10 to 20%) downpayment credit qualifying is easy..

Try this link for listing in your area from one lender..

Parkwood was a cadillac. The plant location, as well as other pertinent info is on the data plate inside the home.

The data plate could well have been removed, but check in the furnace cavity itself.
