Formaldehyde is still used in the manufacturing process of all homes..manufactured, modular, panelized and stick built..It is a chemical that is in many building materials...glues..dyes..

Press board is glued with a glue that is based on this chemicle..but it is in almost every other building material..

If someone told you there was NO formaldehyde in the homes today..they misinformed you..

I believe that the use of formaldehyde has been reduced, as much as is possible. I remember in the "old days", touring new homes on dealer lots, and suffering from stinging eyes, at the very least, from the use of this chemical. Some people are very sensitive to it. You might want to do a "search" on this forum site, to see what others have said about it, especially if you have a sensitivity to it.

Most homes today have a fresh air system that circulates fresh air throughout the home. This helps a lot with air quality.
