Need opinions on this problem. We have purchased a 32X76 home with 2X6 walls and a high pitched roof, so this makes for a very heavy home, so I'm told. Upon set up the frame was bent near a pier placement by an hydraulic jack. The frame at this point does not touch the pier.
Also 22 feet from the back of the home the ceiling is cracked on both halves, seems like too much of a coincidence, this happend upon delivery to the site as it was fine upon initial inspection.
Bent frame
Re: Bent frame
The pier should be shimmed to meet the frame so it can bear its share of the load.Any setup crew nows this. They left it the way you described?
As far as cracks in the sheetrock (walls or ceiling)this is expected during delivery.Your dealer knowa this and should repair all damage from delivery. If the damage occurs after deleivery and setup you will have to inquire upon his warrenty.
Both of the items you mentioned are easily repaired. If you continue to have walls and ceilings crack you have either foundation problems or pier shifting.
