home damage
home damage
We have a 32x76 that was set a year ago this past June. Our marriage line is not level and doesn't come together completely. We have several cracks and all three skylights are leaking. The lot owners said that our home wasn't set properly but the man that owns the set up company said our foundation isn't level, regardless we are having trouble trying to get them to fix the problems which are to many to mention. The set up company wants to put jacks under the home to level the floor as much as possible then pull the carpet back and put underlay down so we won't feel the space in the floor. I want to be sure that this kind of repair is acceptacle. I don't trust them at this point and they don't want to put anything in writing.
Re: home damage
Foundation not level is a lame excuse....distance between the halves has nothing to do with level in most cases...
The home should be set to the requirements of your homeowners manual...period...read your manual and see how your set compares...It should be exactly the same..
A good crew levels the home with a water level at the top of the piers..this would adjust the pier to compensate for unlevel foundations..
This is a dealer issue....he hired the set up crew..and if they have failed..he is responsible to correct the problem...Good Luck..
