When we bought our home and moved it into the MH Community (park) we were told that we had to do basic landscaping and had to repair any damage the set up crew does to the lawn setting up the house. Here's the problem, there was no lawn to begin with. We have very rocky soil and are on top of a hill and have nothing but patches of weeds and the park management said they put top soil in and seeded it before we moved in but the rain keeps washing it away. The Mgr. told us it is our responsibility to bring in dirt and plant a lawn or buy sod and put it down. We said that our lease states basic landscaping (shrubs, flowers etc.) and to upkeep the lawn nothing about topsoil and planting seeds or sodding. They refuse to do anything and frankly we don't want to pay for sod or top soil and seed on land we don't own. Our ownly choice is to either pay for it or hire an attorney who will probably end up costing as much as the lawn. Anyone have any ideas on what we can do and can the park really do this to us? Also, do you think it would help sending letters to upper management at hometown america?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
