they usually have can vents. venting is necessary for heat and moisture extraction. the architect and engineer who designed the home already considered this. ridge vent is another way to do the same job. One or the other is needed, but not both! if you change what the engineer did, understand his intent. how much venting has already been determined by that engineer. installing more, or less venting is not optimum.
