financing purchase and moving cost of foreclosed doublewide..

I am having a big problem. My husband and I are trying to purchase a foreclosed mobile home and it has to be moved to our site, we are responsible for purchase,moving and set-up. No one will touch this financing because 1. It's already been moved and that voids the warranty,2. They don't finance delivery and set-up or 3. It has to be setting on land we own first. The site is prepared but it is on my father-in-laws property (we are renting the site)and we're not asking him to deed it over to us. The seller won't let us move it until it is paid for. Does anyone know of a program to help us? We have contacted Vanderbilt ( they own the mortgage) but they will never return our calls or e-mails. Any ideas or info would be appreciated.

I would think Vanderbilt woulo be the easiest source..The seller must be able to contact them...There are many lenders who will finance a used home..All will want a reasonalbe down, good credit and verifiable income...Then home only will be avalable..Sounds like you should have been buying from a dealer who would help you with all of these details...The link above for "financing" will take you to a service from lenders who specialize in manufactured homes.

It is true over the last few years some lenders have been getting more negative about the home being on family land...but many will still do it..

Have you found a licensed move and set up crew yet to get exact estimates. You will be REQUIRED to have one to do the work..

Thanks and yes we have a crew to move and set-up. He is a good friend of the family and will move it, set it up and everything for 5600. But again we don't have the financing to do it yet.

Try the Manufactured Housing Loan Finder There are dozens of participating loan offices that will contact you. If you have good credit there should be one that will package in the delivery and installation.

Who are you purchasing the home from ?
