repairing holes in walls

We have several holes in the walls and we need to patch them up before selling our mobile home. The walls are not drywall but 1/4" board (I believe). How do I patch that type of wall?

By 1/4" board, do you mean 1/4" sheetrock with a vinyl wallpaper-like covering? If so, only way I know of to repair those holes is to patch them like you would sheetrock then paint the whole wall (or whole room).

If the holes are caused by door-handles, one trick is to buy a large door-handle bumper and cover the hole.
