How much home libility insurance in Florida should I carry that would also cover my dock?

Liability would have nothing to do with your deck...only the physical damage portion of your homeowners insurance policy would...Liability protects your none home assets that could be at risk in a homeowner liability case such as if someone wants to sue you after they were hurt on your property...

Amounts of coverage for liability and physical damage should be carefully chosen in consultation with your agent...you want your assets covered but do not want to pay for insurance you cannot make a claim on...Ask your agent about the limitations of your policy...make adjustments to cover your needs..Almost all policies will allow additional riders to cover more Thant the standard policy..Be thoughtful of the value of your home...attachments..unattached structures...personal effects in the home..When choosing liability limits be mindful of your net worth..All this should be done in consultation with a trusted insurance agent....Good luck..you are lucky to find coverage at all in Florida...
