Resident Owned Parks

Is there a directory of Resident owned communities in California?

I would like to find a new home, already located in an all age community; for myself and my wife. I would, however, prefer it if I can find a community that is resident owned, so I would pay an annual or semiannual amount, like a HOA that would pay for an on site management team that would provide maintenance services for homes and the community's amenities; landscaping, courtesy patrol, and provide regular activities for all residents. I work in property managment and have recently been at a community of 340+ spaces located in Anaheim, CA (Orange County). I am also looking for possible employment for such a community.

I am afraid to say that, I have a situation where my father in law, may not live much longer, and my wife and I would like to purchase a home, and be able to lump that with some other bills; with her inheritance; but we would prefer it for tax and lending purposes, if the home was on land that was not rented.

Anybody have any advice where to look for such information?

There is a lot of resources avaiable in CA..

Check out this site..

http://www.residentownedparks.com/

or this site of a home owerns association..

http://gsmol.org/

There are a few listed here...This site is maintained by an attorney specializing in resident owned parks..you might want to e-mail them and ask for a listing..

http://www.pmcfinserv.com/pe%20res.htm

The grand daddy of all site for CA is this one...It is a listing of all 5000 parks in CA..Lists address...operators address (but not type of ownership)..phone number..You can search by county and city..then call those listed and ask who ownes the place...Good Luck

Not to my knowledge, but if the above websites don't help you, you might call David Berstein, located in Tampa. He is an attorney who does a lot of work with resident-owned communities.
