Need Manager in Columbus, OH
Need Manager in Columbus, OH
We just wrote a contract on a 137 pad park in Columbus, OH. I'm going to need someone onsite. We already have a handyman - just need someone to look after the park, show homes, collect and deposit rents, etc. Free one bedroom apartment next to office, or free pad + compensation.
Re: Need Manager in Columbus, OH
I own a 30 lot mh park in waller texas, it seems very plain that you have more money than experience runing a mh park. one maintence man for that size operation will never be able to keep up with all of the work.it will take more like 4-5 people to maintain evething that can go wrong with rental homes, i assume that you have rental homes, since you need some one to show them. you will need at least one licensed heat and air man to maintain all of those homes in a safe condition.also. collecting rent from that meny people must be a real pain in the ass. and its going to be a full time job just to collect all of the rent and hear all of their bitches. i have found that some people are very hard to collect from, and its best not to piss them off too much , or they can sure cause problems for you.most people are pretty nice and just want to live a quite peaceful life and get along and pay their billsl, but you can never tell be looking at a person who is going to turn out to be a sob toward you or his neighbors. well i hope you have good luck in your search for the perfect manager who will live in a one bed room and take on all of that headake for a small pay check . remember you get what you pay for. as for my self i cant understand why eny one wants to live in that dam cold country, i guess that they have never lived in texas and enjoyed liveing on the gulf coast of mexico.it got down to 30 here last winter and we had to light the heaters ,eny way good luck in your new business and i wish you the best. Jim Polk , owner , polk mobile home & rv park.
Re: Need Manager in Columbus, OH
Jim sounds a little bitter about something. I own a park of 110 sites and one manager and a part time handyman do all the work. We have 15 rental homes and the rest are owner occupied. We also buy and sell nice used homes. I doubt that you would need 4-5 people. A full time licensed heat man, come on Jim. Dont piss off people who get mad when you ask them about the rent. Hey jim I bet you run a great operation there at Polk Village. I bet the resident run all over you. You sound like a bitter man who cannot and does not know how to run a business, maybe a little scared, so you hire multiple people to proctect. Have a good day in lovely texas.

steve your personal attack on me was stupid of you,and uncalled for, i am not bitter, i am retired with a good income, the renters do not run over me, most of them are good friends, the ones that are hard to collecd from dont stay here too long, we move them on out as soon as possible.we like our business and have been here going on 36 years , i started out with one mobile home and have built up from there, it was not easy working at a job all day in houston and takeing care of a mobile home park at home. as far a pissing off the renters, i guess you will have to learn the hard way about that, its your life. jim
