I too am a ConSeCoGtVics. If I had only known what I would have to put up with I would have never thought I had found me a "HOME". Greentree. . Conseco. . . Greentree is just out to make as much monies on the backs of the poor unsuspecting hard working peoples. Want to know more about my options just email me and I will share. I dont want to upset some of these "other" fine folks. I am 61. . bankrupcy is not an option but they have taken a little $2300 debt for a voluntary return to over $22,000 on a house they have already re sold. And on to9p of that for more than what I owed. Go Figure! I am retired and on SS . No, as to that other fella, I made a decision in good faith with people I thought were fair and honest business people. I will shout it to the roof top Beware and DONT GO THERE. And that is my 2 cents!

I also am caught under the Conseco/Greentree conspiracy. I am only one month behind on payments (due to illness that has caused financial hardship) but, by Aug. should be completely caught up. I called them to let them know my situation and why I was running behind again.( I also got a few months behind last year after a devistating car accident almost claimed my life...no fault of my own). When they finally quit switching me to several different people..........I was subjected to yelling and screaming, threats of repossession, and they also demanded my savings account number so they could debit my savings if my money order didn't reach them when they thought it should. I informed them that I had already talked to the home office and they were more than willing to work with me. The lady at home office even stated that they may be able to cut my payments in half to help until I got caught up. The man at the local office (San Antonio, Texas) continued screaming at the top of his voice that "I had no right to contact the home office" and that HE was incharge of when HE decided to repo my home NOT them. Then the personal attacks came, degrading, dehumanizing remarks that NO human being should be made a party to. I was almost in tears when I just decided to hang up on him after I had told him I would not be a victim of his rantings.
So....if we are all fed up with this company, let's do something about it!!!
I personally am calling the Texas Attorney Generals Office and making a formal complaint. I think if we all do this maybe something can be done.
I think we all agree they are crooks and the customer service leaves something to be desired.(to say the least)! The sqeeky wheel gets the grease! One person complaining isn't going to do it....we must band together! Let's let Conseco/Greentree (or whatever thier next name will be) know we are not going to be intimidated by thier "Gangster approach" of dealing with people.
And that is all I've got to say about that!!

my wife and i are both dissabled we showed incom THY figured out HOW MUCH we COULD AFFORD TO PAY then said they found us the PERFCT HOME 08/31/02 gave us the keys to a 2000 16x80 and told us to MOVE IN and if ANY ONE from FINANCE CO asked we DIDNOT move in till THEY said we could we put1.000 we had saved up over 4 years down AT FIRST was TO BE 500 and moved into OUR FIRST after 26years of saveing and trying to get one when we moved in there was NO icebox stove or washer dryer I found list of appliances in closit from FACTORY they said was SOLD with NO APPLIANCES and WE had to BUY our own I told to look at THERE figures AFTER 1 WEEK with NO stove OR icebox I agreed to a LOAN to get same when we made 1 PAYMENT they said we were a MONTH BEHIND on payments after 6 MONTHS of CALLING i got someone WHO had JUST STARTED and was sent copy of ALL acc history from FIRST sucker who finley JUST WALKED AWAY i then asked why THEY showed 2.500.00 code 211 09/06/02 was put on hold switched to SUPERVISOR would not give name HE SWITCHED other who said 211 was INSURANCE someone in BACKGROUND said HANG UP NOW i was cut off an ever sence NO ONE WILL TELL ME WHAT insurance CLAME was for I have tryed to get list from FACTORY but I get SAME RUN AROUND can ANYONE PLEASE tell me how to get list from factory OR WHO TO CONTACT for HELP THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN HELP

If you were sold a mobile in the state of texas that did not have appliances in it - that includes anything that was original factory equipment - and this sale was made to you by a licensed dealer in TX then you have a place to call and get some justice.

Call The Taxas Department of Housing and Community Affairs 1 (800) 500-7074 - or go online to www.tdhca.state.tx.us This is the regulatory branch of TX government for mobile homes. In the state of TX it is illegal for a licensed dealer to sell a mobile home without the equipment that it originally came with. The TDHCA will be able to find out what came in it and the dealer - even if they went out of business - if they had a license was required to put up a bond that will payoff consumer problems that occur. If they are not licensed then they will fine them and get them licensed or place a cease and desist on them and jail time.

I'm not sure what has happened to the rest of you, but I had no problem getting my payoff information. I did run into extremly rude reps that answers phones for Greentree. You would have thought I borrowed the money from them instead of Greentree. I moved my home to another park, (most parks will move you for free, just watch for their ads.) I stayed there less than a year, fixed up the outside, for the curb appeal affect. Put a sign up, For Sale By Owner, and sold my home in 1 week. I made 7000.00 on it.
