I wanted to know if you would recommend any movers in the Lake City Area? You seem to be very knowledgeable and very helpful. Since you mentioned you worked in the Lake City Area for 15 years I think you are the ideal person to ask for a referral. I know there are many shady people out there in any business and we are looking for a reputable moving company.
We found a 99 Grand Manor 32 x 68 (Says its about 2112 sq ft of living space). It is IMMACULATE. 3/2 spacious rooms & bathrooms, storm windows, Kenmore appliances...stove, microwave, fridge and dishwasher 4 ton A/C, not new it came with the house when she bought it in 2000. Comes with back steps, dual front steps that are attached to a 12 x 12 screened in porch. The porch connects to the house, but it's detachable. Has the same style and color roof as the house with the same siding as the house in the top front, very nice porch. Has chandeliers and upgraded lighting in the house (so she says), fireplace, island in the kitchen, built in china cabinet in the dining room that matches the kitchen counters, utility, pantry and brand new carpet throughout.
She is asking $35,000 plus we have to move it. Do you think this 99 is worth the money? We would like to offer her $30k CASH, maybe she'll let it go for $32k? Don't know if that's resonable.
Thank you for your help!!!

Re: To Mr Murray
Price sounds good to me...you might offer a couple of thousand less...
Moves...The set up crew I used in Lake City for all those years was owned by Melvin Sheppard...He can be contacted at the Ace Hardware store on Baya Ave...His wife manages the store..Or you can get a contact number from Wilson Axle Sales on Baya Ave...Mr. Wilson is his brother in law...Tell him I recommended you...smile..I do not owe Melvin any money..he should do a good job..
Also..If he is still at it Terry Thrift..Trift Manufactured Homes movers..used to be very good...
One other..still in business I would guess is Ronnie Corbett..At Corbett Mobile Homes on HWY 41N..
There might be others...these guys are getting a up in age...but I am sure they are all still at it...
Good Luck with your new home..

Re: To Mr Murray
Thank you, I will call all these folks today, see if their still in business.
This house brings 5-6 Extractors that are seen on top on the house on the roof. What they explained to us was that you turn these on and it sucks the hot air out of the room which keeps the house cooler. I don't know something like that. Have you ever heard of these?
Do you know where I could find the specs for this home, like insulation, walls, etc... I asked them what it had and they did not know.
thanks again
