Does anyone know about...

The Eagle II Model 4764A by Fleetwood? I am also looking at The Stoneridge Model 4764B by Fleetwood and The Carriage Hill Model 4764B also by Fleetwood? Any information you could give me will be greatly appreciated.

Also, if you have a different (aka 'better') manufacturer with a simular plan that you'd recommend.

Thanks,
Stormy

Hi,

We are in SanAntonio, Texas. Now I am going to have to find the Entertainer with that model number. :-)

How do you like your home? How's the quality? Are you happy with it?

Thanks

We are in 0763B which I have found known as Suncrest, Waverly and we know it as Meadowbrook.

We love our home. Only some minor problems - all cosmetic. We added the sunroom option on ours and the den and 4th bedroom.

I would recommend that you find a dealer you trust. Sure other homes people say are better quality that Fleetwood and that may or may not be true - but what good is the home if you do have concerns and problems. Fleetwood was not our first choice but in a 100 mile radius of us we found only 2 dealers that had been in business for 20 plus years - the rest were 2 to 5 years.

We finally decided on a dealer and then started from scratch at looking for homes.

Just my opinion

Good luck

....and your advice would be hated by many...
"We finally decided on a dealer and then started from scratch at looking for homes"
If folks would be very careful with the choice of dealer..the home is easy..good dealer will have many lines and quality ranges...Hundreds of floor plans to chose from..If folks truely investigated the dealer most of the problems here would not be mentioned...Good Luck with your new home..

How far away from the home setting site would you suggest your dealer of choice be? What other criteria are important in selecting a dealer?

thx

Good question...Much more important than distance is experience with the unique set up situations that your area might have....
Example...Our dealership is in central GA...We have no problem going 250 or more miles to deliver homes...but only in areas that are similar to our own...We will not deliver 120 miles into the GA Smoley mountians for instance..because we have no experience in the special problems of mountian deliveries...

On long deliveries we often contract with local set up crews...so that if they have problems they are close by to be able to repair them...Also..you should not take a manufacture's home outside his normal delivery area...Most manufactuers would have a very hard time with warranty hundreds of miles out of thier normal delivery area..Just shear economics...They would not like to run a service crew hundreds of miles to fix a problem that might be only a few minutes of even hours to take care of..

You will have to use your good judgement and common sense..Good Luck in your Quest..

Now...you have mentioned a company that could be one of the few exceptions to the rule...
We sell a few Jacobson's 500 miles from the plant....I personally sold a very delux model about 6 months ago...When the home first went out they sent finish crews..fireplace crews..floor crews(all three things are done on site after delivery and set up) and service crews all in a very timely mannor...After the initial set..there were a few minor problems...since the distance was so far...we offered the use of our service department to take care of these...surprise..surprise...they refused...They demand ALL warranty service be run by factory crews...they came all the way in a very timely mannor..have been back agian..and assured the cusomer that they will any time there is a problem..anytime in the whole 5 year warranty...To say the least..the customer and the dealer are a happy campers...
