Ever Camped Out For a Property?

Post by Cosmo Kramer » Tue Jan 14, 2003 9:53 pm

Hi, I am looking to buy a 'Wimpey Home' in a nice development being built in my town. The people there say that houses are for sale on Saturday on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis. My brother and I are 100% certain that we each want a property there so we really really want to be one of those 'FIRST SERVED'. Wimpey says there are hundreds of people on the mailing list and only 9 plots for sale - will people be really queuing for days as I am led to believe? If thats the case i will definetly dot hat but i wondered if anone has come across that before. If so, what is 'Queue-Etiquette'? Can you leave the queue for toilet breaks? Do you have to physically stabd at the door to the sales cabin? Any advice would be welcome - thanks.

No, under no circumstances may you leave for a toilet break. Serious violence may result.
Just kidding... Yes probably one of you can sneak off to do that. Folks occasionally do this for really desirable properties here. You could in fact camp. What I would do is start some days before, see if a line is forming. You could be first!
Good luck!
