? on rule for accepting offers

Hello all.

My husband and I have made a verbal offer on a house and the buyer has accepted. Can the house be shown and sold out from under us at this point?

Hello Danelle,

The retailer has the right to show the home but usually you have the first right of refusal. This means if someone else wanted to purchase the home the sales center would have to contact you to see how close you are to securing a loan. If your close and the lender your working with can verify your loan or send the sales center a pre-loan approval this will keep the home from being sold.

Thanks Randy,

We have pre-approval for our loan and we signed the written offer last night and gave them our earnest money.

thanks again for your quick response,
danelle
