best modular in colorado??

hi everyone,
am seeking a modular to be placed on a ready site in sw colorado.
i understand that where a particular brand is made can make a big difference in its quality. i am not really excited about the idea of hauling my home from missouri (fuqua) or so arizona (karsten) or maybe that really makes no difference???? just more bug guts to clean off? grins

also, who owns cavco? isn't it oakwood?

please tell me it's dumb to have pink carpet....i can't stop myself!!!

What was your opinion of the Karsten made in Albuquerque? I am considering a Karsten purchase but have reservation about the way the water pipes are run through the unit (enclosed). Opinion please.

I would not know which model is best in CO. We are looking to relocate to NM, ourselves.

As to installing pink carpeting... No, I won't tell you it's dumb, but it is symptomatic of a deeper seated pathology. The woman who sold us this home had deep varigated rose carpeting put in. I have reason to believe that she is in the grip of an unresolved Electra complex which accounts for her troubled relationship with male authority figures.

According to Jungian analysis the most stable personality archetypes exhibit pronounced preferences for sand, buff and beige carpeting, the feminine siding toward warm highlights of pink while the masculine archetype shades more toward the brown and gold.

Freudian analysis indicates that whole anal-retentive personality types shade toward bright white carpeting, inner deep seated conflict is manifested when coffee or taupe shading is selected. Pink and red shades (according to freud) demonstrated Electra complexes and father-figure fixation in women and passive-aggressive tendancies in men.

We will not discuss shag carpeting, save to say that there is an entire chapter devoted to it in the work Psychopathia Sexualis and to note that owners of shag carpeting are more prone to violence and oral fixations.

Very true! But *boy* could he lay carpet! ;-D

Seriously, however, I'd say when buying a used MH, at least, what we learned was "Don't 'settle' for a carpet/counter/cabinet color you aren't *quite* happy with.

The carpet and counters of our home are deep rose. My partner wanted white. We've been here 3 years and kept saying "Oh, we'll put in new... Real Soon Now..."
and never got around to it because we couldn't afford it. When a prospective buyer came through looking, she commented "I don't really care for the carpet..." we chorused "We know!" and laughed. The carpeting is still rose and we're leaving!
