We are looking for new homes available in our area that are built with 2"x6"x8' exterior walls, plywood sheathing, 2x8 floor joists on 16" centers, 1/2" sheet rock or thicker on the inside, and meet EnergyStar requirements. Our budget is $80-90k for a home to be set on our land in NE GA. A customizable floor plan is more important to us than the actual square footage of the home. I am under the impression that Jacobsen available in Augusta @ Melvin Williams would meet these requirements. Does anyone know of any others?

I also handle the Homes of Merit that does also...The also build some modualrs that you might be interested in...Both Jacobson and Homes of Merit are full custom..
A little less expensive choice might be the Southern Energy Home...We used to handle them but had to thin out our lines and we decided to keep the HOM and Jacobson....Jacobson and Merit both have 5 year factory warrantys...Southern does not..

Thank you for your input. How does the interior finish of the HOM compare with the Jacobsen? Does HOM offer 8' walls? Does HOM have an information package, and if so, who would I contact to get one? Thanks again,

If you want quality home take a look at the R-Anell Homes. They offer the best homes for the money and have a very excellent customer service team. I just bought a triple wide from a dealer and very pleased with the home and the construction.

Hello, Their are several retailers in Georgia. The one we delt with is Bonanza Homes in Fitzgerald, Ga and the other dealer is Carefree Homes in Athens, Ga. They can customize any floorplan if you wish. The dealer and factory were excellet, they communicated with us very well what we wanted into the home and changing the window sizes and moving doors around. I am very pleased.
