Anyone out there that has an Encore 2001 home that is hard to heat, and the furnace runs a lot to keep warm?

Excuse this posting if you have already checked the following items related to your home heating problems.

1. Check each floor register to make sure heat is available when the furnace is running? (May have a disconnected heat duct run.)
2. Have you changed the filters on a regular basis?
3. If you have registers in the center of the floor, is one of them blowing heat at the thermostat on the wall?
4. Check behind the thermostat on the wall for a too large entrance hole for the thermostat wires. Can be sucking cold air from under the floor causing furnace to run too long.
