Hi,
I'm doing research on Manufactured homes. Can you help give me some guidance on the reputations of the following companies? I want a good comparative understanding of what makes each of these branded houses unique, and which have the fewest complaints associated with them!
Here are the ones I'm looking at:
Clayton
Oakwood
Fleetwood
Champion
Palm Harbor
Cavalier
I really appreciate your advice!
Emily.

Re: Comparing Home Brands
Emily,
Personally, I have found Fleetwood to be a good deal. They are a little more expensive, but you also have more options. They are also only one of two companies that I know of that can put the A/C vents in the ceiling instead of the floor. I really like that sice you don't have to worry about where to put your funiture so as to not cover a floor vent.
I own a 1998 single-wide 16X80 and have had to move it a couple of times (I'm in the military), and have not had any problems.
I also think Jacobson Homes are pretty good.
