Re: Rain on Dirt Pad
Well, that sounds like a sticky situation! Erosion near foundations is never ideal, is it? It is especially disheartening to see the pad erode. Waiting for skirting feels like an eternity when the dirt's just washing away! Actually, reminds me of when we had a similar issue with our garden shed. The soil kept sliding down. We ended up building a small retaining wall using some spare bricks and it Slope Unblocked actually helped a lot. Might be worth considering something similar, even temporary, until the pros arrive. Good luck!

Hi Nicole! It's great to hear about your new home, but I can see how the rain erosion could be concerning. It’s essential to keep the foundation protected, especially during rainfall. I recommend checking with your mobile home company for guidance on managing erosion around the edges. While you wait for the skirting, keeping the area clear of debris can help. Also, when you need a fun break, try the Slope Game for a little distraction! Check it out here!

It’s important to address erosion to avoid long-term issues. Consider temporary measures like tarps or barriers until the skirting is installed.NicoleDumas wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 5:56 pm Our dirt pad was laid May 14, 2024. Our double wide was placed with a moisture barrier on April 25. Since then, we have been making the connections to the home but have suffered many delays. The pad continues to get rained on and shows erosion along the edges of the foundation. Water is not getting under the house, though. Our mobile home company told us not to do any landscaping until they come put on our vinyl skirting.
Is the rain erosion a cause for concern? Is there anything we should do to fix it?
