Need advice on buying a new home

Post by tmsouth88 » Fri Oct 18, 2019 7:04 am

I am thinking about buying and going to look tomorrow. I am not going to jump into anything but financially there is a lot to consider. I don't have any land. What else would I need? I know a septic tank and power hook up. All of this will get expensive I just don't want to make the wrong decision. I have several months before my apt. lease is up. But rent is so high I need to do something else. Thanks for any advice!

I hope you already bought it, don't you?
If not then you should need to know this
1. Pay Off All Debt and Build an Emergency Fund
2. Save a Down Payment
3. Get Preapproved for a Loan
4. Save for Closing Costs
5. Research Neighborhoods for Best Fit
6. Make a Competitive Offer within your budget!

Sounds like you’re thinking about the right things already. Just make sure you factor in all the hidden costs (utilities, permits, maintenance) before committing. Those add up fast.
