Can tarpaper be used for the under belly material?

Post by Txlady » Sun Dec 30, 2018 4:21 pm

I have a 14 by 60 foot mobile home that recently had the insulation replaced underneath but all the black material is gone. It's very expensive and someone said to use tarpaper. Will that work? Thanks!

Mobile home belly board or Timloc is a fiber reinforced material to make it more resistant to ripping and tearing. Tar paper would not be a suitable replacement for the bellyboard. You can find the actual timloc for around $ 1.00 per running foot in 4' wide sections or small rolls for patching under $ 40.00.
