New Roof

I am thinking about moving my home (2000 Redman 28' x 76' double wide) onto a piece of land. I live in SE Michigan and the township has a slope requirement and I would have to change the slope of my roof. Is that something that can be done without re-engineering my home? I can do roofing from the decking up, but I have never dealt with trusses or rafters. Thank you,

It isn't as bad as it sounds. I have done it a few times in the past. You can order trusses for a cathedral ceiling where the bottom chord is pitched enough to clear the existing roof,or you can do it with rafters. The latter require a good deal more carpentry. Either way it isn't bad. You will need more siding for the gable ends. that would be an issue as your home has faded in 13 years. One solutions is to side the gable ends with an accent color or shakes or scallops instead of truing to match the existing siding.
