Hi. Just purchased a 1989 Fleetwood double wide in Florida in November. We are going there next week for a month. The ceilings require painting, but a guy we had looking at them says the strips beween the ceiling panels are metal and wont take paint so each metal strip will have to be masked off before painting. He quoted an outrageous price. If we were just going to wash it, what can we use that wont destroy the ceiling tile (not popcorn). What would be the best paint to use if I decide to paint?
Thanks

Take another close look yourself... the trim between the panes is most likely wood or plastic.
Any good grade of white ceiling paint should work... The better the paint quality the fewer coats of paint will be required. If the ceiling is badly stained paint it first with Kilz - an oil based white paint made to cover stains - then give it a coat of ceiling paint.
