We have a bedroom with two closets which each having mirrored sliding doors on them. The person who sleeps there doesn't like them, and they are very difficult and heavy to slide.
Each closet opening is 8 X 8 feet.
Does anyone have any idea of what they could be replaced with? We don't like just plain white sliding doors, wood or metal. We went to Lowe's Hardware to see if there are shutters that slide back and forth, but they don't come this big, apparently.
Somewhere online someone suggested Shoji screens, as used in Japan, and there are some nice ones, on double tracks, that slide. They are very pretty and lightweight. However, they don't seem to come that large! (I will phone some of the manufacturers to see if there are larger ones that can be ordered.)
Any ideas? Thanks!
