Replacement screens

Post by serenityacres » Tue Jul 01, 2008 10:40 am

We have 5 or 6 indow sreens that need replaced. we have a four seasons home with the vinyl windows, and the elcheapo screens. I have lloked but can't find replacements for these. Is there anywhere that carries these screens? Or would some of the aluminum screens possibly fit? we have this place for sale, and need to get this done.

You might want to try the parts store here..A link to the screen center follows:

If that does not work, local smaller hardware stores often custom make screens...Try your phonebook, take him one of the good ones and sizes of the windows for the ones you need...

Any glass company or hardware store can and will fix or replace your screens.

With these cheap vinyl screens, once you take them out, they start bending and then the corners are shot. there is no way to reuse the frames.

It is very easy to build the screen yourself using frame kits available at many home improvement stores. See our free repair article How to Build a New Window Screen
