We have an outside deck which is quite large, probably 25 feet by 6 feet. It is covered with ugly indoor/outdoor carpet.

Is there anything else we could cover it with? Does someone make "fake wood" that looks like real wood but can be hosed off?

I guess there are some prettier indoor/outdoor carpets now, so perhaps we should just get another nicer color....

I don't see why you couldn't build a wooden deck on top of it, or if you wanted synthetic material, use one of the wood alternatives (Trex etc.) Real wood can be hosed off, but does require periodic refinishing.
