Hi,

We are in the process of purchasing a 1997 Fairmont Kingsley... but we will need to get a wider front door. Can I buy the door at a local store like Lowes? Does the person installing it need to be familiar with mobile homes?

You can get a new door at Lowes or any local building supplier...but you will do better with a door designed specificaly for a manufactured home. See the wide range of doors available at The MH Parts Store

we bought a door form lowes and my husband put it in. he just had to cut hole bigger. if oyu know anything about remodel it can be done.
