Metal Garage Addition

Post by blackwll » Thu Aug 23, 2007 12:42 pm

Has anyone purchased a metal garage kit and attached it to their manufactured home? Well actually it is not attaching, just butting it up against the side of the house. We already have the concrete slab at the end of our home and want to set the metal garage on it and have it look as though it is part of the home.
Any warnings or suggestions?
Thx

Attaching an addition to a manufactured home presents a number of factors that you wont have to deal with. Your only limitations should be those presented by the garage kit.

If you want the garage to present as part of the home, simply match the siding and roofing materials to the existing home and you should have a very attractive result.

The garage in the photo below is attached with a breezeway to the home but would look just as much a part of the home if it were free standing.

I personally like my free standing garage as it gives me a bit of isolation to do the jobs I enjoy in my little shop, out there, with out disturbing the rest of the houshold.

Below is a photo of a free standing garage next to a manufactured home that looks like they were made for each other

E-mail a photo of your finished product to me and Ill add it to your post here.
