We own a 1998 Southern Home. 3 bedroom, 2 bath 54'X 69'. We are thinking about extending the masterbedroom and bath. And we want to add on some more rooms. Would it be better to have the house sat on a permanent foundation before doing any add on or does it really matter. Also will extending the rooms make weaken the structures.

You can add room additions, porches, even a garage to just about any manufactured home. You dont need a poured foundation but your home must be on a stable foundation. There is a great article on the best way to add Additions at our sister web site MobileHomeRepair.com that you can read
