Adding roof vents

Two rooms and one bathroom in my house have drop ceilings with insulation above. The ceilings don't get all that warm considering the outside temp is 95. The problem is the space above the drop ceiling is reaching 152 degrees. Because the living room and master bedroom (at opposite ends of the house are cathedral, the heat buildup can be felt when you touch the wall sections above the drop ceiling line. Hard to explain. The question is, can I install roof vents and under eve vents for intake so the hot air goes out the through the top vents?

Any suggestions re type or source appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

Depending on the construction eve vents might help.... better yet might be looking into a vented roof cap to replace the solid cap that covers the center of the roof peak. You can find these at most local roofing products business.
