Post by Greg Nelson » Tue Mar 14, 2006 4:18 am

I have used a radial arm saw and that went south than i had a Delta saw buck and that burn't up and now with nothing to cut skirting? The lumber yards sell a siding angle table too big and too expensive to fit into my van so does anyone have any idea's and or could you please help me locate anything that would work good as my suppliers have not what i am looking for. I do alot of vynal and aluminum siding I usually use a cicular saw with a high quality plywood blade installed backwards. I know it sounds goofy but it works. my saw is a portacable it cost me about $130.00 but it is about 10 years old now and i have never had a problem with it. another thought is if you are burning up power tools you are using a power cord that is to small and won't supply enough juice. DO NOT use a cord smaller then a 14 gauge and don't go over 50 ft. with it. if you have to go futher then that use a 12 or 10 gauge cord, they are alittle more expensive but they are cheaper then replacing power tools.
