settlement cracks

I am thinking of buying a Marlett modular. There are settlement cracks in the ceiling and one wall. No leaks. Is is hard to get the manufacturer to come out and fix it? Would it be as the second owner? We live on the Oregon border. The home was manufacutered in Oregon.
