Are there companies that will buy pre-fab houses? I want to remove a 1990 modular and build a home but need to have the exisiting modular removed fisrt. It is a very nice home with many updates but I want to replace it with a log cabin.

If so, where can I find a company that may buy and remove this home? I live in northern Michigan.

Many dealers may buy your home for cash, but you'll take a heck of a beating on it. Selling a home that needs to be moved is no picnic either. One way or another you'll probably take a loss.

I've known several people who've built log homes. Hopefully you've done your research as I haven't found one person yet who's built one for the cost they've been quoted. In fact one person I know ended up just walking away before it was even finished.
