cracks in textured ceiling

I moved a home and have some cracks in the textured ceiling. Some are substantial ( 1/4 inch) some are minor. Is there an easy way to repair them or do you have to sand all the texture down, re-tape, and mud, then paint and re-texture?
Thanks . I would image this is somewhat common as most mobile homes have textured ceilings and many are moved.

The major cracks will require taping and retexturing. Hairline cracks can be filled in and painted over.
