ceiling leak

we purchased an older mobile in the mountains . There was a ceiling leak and the ceiling in kitchen and living room need replaced. The mobile has a metal roof. We took down some panels in living room and we need some help on what to replace them with.The ceiling is held up with 2x2's. Where they were wet a few of them sagged. Will the 2x2's hold up sheet rock.? How can we straighten up the 2x2's that are sagging? Any suggestions would be appreciated

just an idea that i have done is jack pole the rafters straight use a string line to guide you the use paneling cut in a triangle that matchs pitch of rafters then brad nail it to rafters as for sheet rock thats alot of weight better be careful.
