Ceiling falling down.

I'm in a 2001 80X18 Single Wide Palm Harbor Home. Recently the ceiling in the center of the house has separated and began to fall down. I've also noticed trim that seems to have almost a 1/2 inch gap in it in places. The carpet has pulled away from the tub at one end and the center board on the ceiling is bowed about halfway down the house. We had the house moved here two years ago, and it is on a clay mound about 2 feet above ground level with concrete runners under it. It is my feeling that the house is falling to one side or another. Does anyone know if this sounds like a level problem and approximately how much it should cost to have the house re-leveled. I've contacted Palm Harbor three times, they don't seem to be interested in responding to us, buyer beware. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

Your problems sound like they are caused by a leveling problem. All homes settle; the fact that you moved your home two years ago and now have some settling problems is to be considered normal.

What kind of warranty did you get from the company that re-set your home in the new location? If the answer is "none", then you are on your own.

Don't smear Palm Harbor for this problem. Normal settling problems resulting from moving the home have nothing to do with defects in materials or workmanship, which is what the builder's warranty covers.

Once you moved the home..the original dealer has no warranty obligation..sounds like the footers have settled..Getr a qualified manufactured home set crew to check you level and relevel as needed...

I thought it was a settling problem, anyone have any idea how much it is to relevel a home??

Oh, and I did not smear Palm Harbor for a leveling problem, I smeared them for not responding to many phone calls, and messages. Little touchy there Angry Man, do you work for them?? LOL
