I went up on the roof of our home to clean the gutters and get the leaves off. While I was on the roof I noticed staples sticking out the top of some of the shingles. So I took a closer look and foun alot of the staples were not nailed all the way down and had the shingles sticking up.some had came out the top. What is the best way to fix this .It is a whole lot of them. Also the decking had a lot of give when I walked on it.How can you check the trusses to see if they are good? Thanks Randy I have also posted about our wet area And would like to hear your advise.

First, write a complaint to the manufacturer and the State agency or HUD. The staples are sticking out represents a construction defect. You should replace the damaged shingles, short of that, remove the staples, drive a nail in its place as seal the area with roof cement.
Unless your home is really old, your manufacturer could be presured into repairing the roof for you!

This is the kind of thing that plagues the manufactured housing industry, this should simply not happen. call the manufacturer and put pressure on them to fix this.

it happens with stick builts too. and walking on the roof only damages the roof further.
