gutter

Post by Paul Downie » Sun Jul 31, 2005 10:15 am

We need to put gutters on our mobile home to stop the black streaking from the roof. Standard Gutter is too heavy because our home only has a small section of wood just under the roofline to attach the ventcover and the ventcover attaches to the top of the siding. Is there any special type of gutter or means of attaching a new gutter to the house. My concern is we are located in New England and need to consider icing up in the winter - the weight of snow, etc. Would greatly appreciate any help.

Do you have a black rubber roof on your home? If it's streaking, it means its oxidyzing. Nothing you can do about that tho.

I would about need to see a picture to understand why you can't attach regular gutter. I normally slip them underneath the existing v-gutter (or don't you have that!) and screw into place. No matter what you do, you may have some issues with the ice and snow.

Use roof hangers to attach the gutter. they work the best.
